Walt's Barracuda

So after a long wait, I finally put a new clutch in the car last week, a Ram Clutches "Street Dual" with an aluminum flywheel and took the car out for a test romp. 5 minutes later, I twisted the splines off the driver's side axle shaft and tore up the cone in the limited slip. It's apart right now, waiting on a set of Moser racing alloy axles and a set of 4.30 gears. Terry over at Terry's Transmission is rebuilding the limited slip and setting up the gears. Should have it back together early next week so I can send it off to the welding shop to have the frame connectors and roll bar welded in. Also need to install the new exhaust, driveshaft loop, relocate the battery to the trunk with a battery cut-off, install the line lock on the fronts and an adjustable proportioning valve for the rear brakes. One of my racing buckets came in and the other is still back ordered. I haven't even ordered the harnesses or the adjustable race shocks I want yet. I'll have photos soon.

House Update - New Windows

We hired Traditional Innovations to install new casement windows throughout the house. All but the window in Ingrid's office are trimmed with Oak in the interior. Ingrid's office has painted pine (to match the other trim in her office). More photos are in our online photo gallery.

Blues guitarist Jeff Healey dies

3/25/1966 - 3/2/2008

Guitar prodigy Norman Jeff Healey of Toronto died Sunday of cancer. He was 41. Healey, who shot to prominence in 1988 with the release of his debut album See the Light, had been blind since he was a year old, a condition brought on by the rear cancer retina blastoma.

He had battled the disease for much of his life and endured a number of health setbacks over the past few years, undergoing operations to remove cancerous tissue in both his legs and his lungs. But aggressive radiation treatments and chemotherapy failed to stop the disease from spreading.

The talented blind guitarist Jeff Healey performs George Harrison's cover "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". IMO, the best version of the song ever done.

Jimmy Kimmel's Response to Sarah & Matt

Why Sarah Silverman is one of the funniest female comedians

For those of you who don't know the late night show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, you first have to see earlier Matt Damon appearances on the show.

Later, Jimmy and the gang, make this clip just before Matt Damon's Bourne Ultimatum is released.

Last Night, to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Jimmy Kimmel's late night show, Sarah Silverman, Jimmy's girlfriend, decided it was time to come clean--in song, unsurprisingly--about the torrid, affair she's been having with secretly devious Hollywood Nice Guy Matt Damon, who's been continually bumped from Jimmy Kimmel's show. Damon gets payback for years of being Kimmel's sign-off joke ("Apologies to Matt Damon, we've run out of time").
